Introduction

I discovered this recipe one day that I ended up in a Ukranian cafe in Madrid, and I loved it, so I had to search for a recipe that could work for me, and this is the one I ended up with, it’s really good, and I hope you like it as much as I do.

As for the serving, this are often eaten with berries jam and sour cream, I tend to eat them just with some syrup or honey.

What captivated me most was that, when I asked the waiter about this recipe, she mentioned that this would be the kind of breakfast your Ukrainian grandma would make for you.

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Mash the 500g of cottage cheese until you get a fine, lump-free texture.

  2. Add 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 3 tablespoons of flour, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until you get a homogeneous and manageable dough.

  3. Form the patties: take small portions of dough and shape them into round, slightly flattened discs of some thickness.

  4. Fry the patties on both sides until golden brown on the outside and cooked through on the inside.
